This morning I continued to explore Fakahatchee Strand State Preserve and Big Cypress National Preserve. Both places are spectacular yet very different. The highlight of the day was finding an orchid in Fakahatchee along one of the old tram roads. We found three different plants all of which were Delicate Ionopsis. I decided not to post a photo today because I could not get a good photograph of the small flowers as they were blowing in the wind. Hopefully I will be able to return in the next few weeks and get a better image.
