This afternoon I headed to Anhinga Trail in order to spend some time photographing an Anhinga nest that I have been watching for a few weeks waiting for the chicks to hatch. On my way home yesterday I stopped to check on the nest and found that the babies had finally hatched and there was a clear view. This afternoon I spent a couple hours sitting at the nest and watching the female feed her four chicks. I was able to get some great images of the mother and her chicks. I plan to return to this nest twice a week or so to document the babies as they grow.
