Today was a rainy day until the sun broke through late this afternoon. I spent most of the day inside working around here on some paperwork and cleaning. As the sun began to get low in the sky this evening I ran over to the marina to see if I could find anything interesting to photograph. The Laughing Gulls were congregating on a dock and allowed me to get really close for some nice portraits. This particular gull was laying down on a picnic table and I actually had to back up to focus my lens.
