American Crocodile - Flamingo Marina, Everglades National Park

Today I spent most of my time working around here with the images I took yesterday and earlier in the week. I am currently working on putting together an article about my experience in the rookery yesterday and will post it on Sunday when I send out my newsletter.
This image is from yesterday afternoon as I was wandering around the marina. This crocodile has been nicknamed Gumby because it doesn't have any teeth. I found Gumby while it was fishing right next to the dock. As the marina workers began hosing down the docks and marina this croc began drinking the freshwater as it dripped off the dock.

Interesting Sightings

While I was in town this afternoon I was stopped at a red light when a Hill Myna flew by my window. I had heard about them being seen in the area but had never seen them. It was nice to see them without even trying.

Other Interesting Observations:

  None.
