Raccoon in Nest - Flamingo Campground, Everglades National Park

Today I spent most of the day working around the trailer trying to do some planning for the fall. After trying to put together a plan for my final project, I headed out to the campground to see what I could find. As I was driving through the campground I noticed this raccoon high up in one of the trees. Since I don't have any images of raccoons yet I was pretty happy to get one like this. I checked back a little while later and he was gone and I couldn't find him on the ground anywhere.

On a completely different note, tomorrow I am going up with some of the panther trackers to tag along on one of their tracking flights. I probably won't see a panther but may have a chance to photograph the landscape from the air.

Interesting Sightings

  None.

Other Interesting Observations:

I had a huge flock of migrant warblers in the C-loop of the Campground in Flamingo this evening. It was mostly Prairie Warblers, Palm Warblers, and American Redstarts. I did have a lone Cape May Warbler and a few Black and White Warblers as well.
