Phaon Crescent - Everglades National Park
|
This morning I went searching for Seaside Sparrows one last time. After getting out into the marsh I stumbled across this butterfly that was covered in dew and could not fly away. I spent almost twenty minutes working with this butterfly until it finally flew away. I think it is a Phaon Crescent but I am still trying to confirm that ID. Enjoy.

Interesting Sightings
None.
Other Interesting Observations:
Later in the morning I witnessed an immature White Ibis catch, fight, and eventually eat a decent sized water snake. I was shocked to see this as White Ibis normally feed almost exclusively on crayfish and small invertabrates.
