Today I attempted to photograph birds in flight by handholding my 600mm lens instead of using the tripod. This made it much easier to track birds as they flew in and out of the island in Eco Pond. I was surprised to find that I was able to not only get much better compositions but got sharp images.
On a seperate note, I have now posted an article about my experience in the Alley North Rookery on Wednesday. It is under the species profiles in the Everglades section of this website. I hope you enjoy it.
