Today I had a great day of photography that ended with this beautiful scene. I started the day by photographing sunrise in the pinelands and orchids in the prairies. I took some spectacular panoramic images but am having some problems stitching them together. This evening I was waiting for the moonrise and headed over to Mahogany Hammock to see if I could find anything interesting. As I pulled in to the parking lot, a Yellow-billed Cuckoo flew into one of the trees where it posed nicely as it ate a large Lubber Grasshopper. After a few moments with the cuckoo, he flew off and I headed down to Nine Mile Pond where I captured this image of the moon rising. It was a very enjoyable day.
