Strangler Fig and Resurrection Fern - Mahogany Hammock, Everglades National Park

Today I started the morning off working in Mahogany Hammock where I finished yesterday afternoon. While yesterday I was focusing on lizards and other details, today I worked with the plants in the hammock as well as some of the landscapes inside the hammock. This image shows Resurrection Fern that is currently a lush green because of all the rain we have had recently. The fern is growing on a tree trunk that is slowly being covered by the roots and trunk of the tropical Strangler Fig.
