Today I spent the day at the north end of the ational park focusing on the tall sawgrass prairies. For about three hours after sunrise I waited to photograph Snail Kites in an area where they usually are present. However, this morning I did not see a single Kite so I decided to move on. At Shark Valley I had a few things in mind that I wanted to photograph but I was not expecting to see the large number of White Peacock Butterflies that were flying around grasses that line the canal. In the afternoon I photographed in the sawgrass prairies before heading back home.
